Sports Massage Therapist and Pilates Teacher

My love of fitness and movement started young as I recall spending most weekends of my childhood participating in gymnastic competitions, athletic events or on a squash court in the hope of following in the footsteps of my fitness fanatic dad. My studies soon took priority as I chose to study for a BSc in Modern Foreign Languages at Aston University followed by a period living in Paris teaching English. Four years later, I graduated with Honours and returned to London to embark upon a high-flying PA role which took me around the World via the Formula One circuits for the next 10 years., giving me an amazing host of opportunities, experience and skills which I have taken with me into my newfound and more recent career.

Throughout the years, running and fitness have remained a constant. I joined the Serpentine Running Club and began participating in various road events, pursuing my PB goals in earnest. In the UK, I trained with my dad. When abroad, I made use of hotel gyms and F1 tracks to log my miles. I participated in many events including the London Marathon twice, Windsor Half, Silverstone Half and many other UK 5 and 10k events. We also tried our hand at a Spartan which tested our endurance and resilience almost as much as my job! I began acquiring an understanding and then a desire to know more about improving performance and fitness with rehab and manual therapy and I found it fascinating.

When I decided to become a mum, I knew my life would change irrevocably. With that, came the plan to leave the rat race behind and follow my dreams of running my own business, in order that I could be flexible around my new responsibilities as a parent but also to help people to be the best version of themselves whilst doing something which I love.

So, in 2016, I embarked upon a Level 5 BTEC in Sports & Remedial Massage Therapy at the prestigious North London School of Sports Massage. I studied around my job and soon I was juggling this with pregnancy, birth and the early newborn days with our first son. In February 2018, I qualified, then launched my business and my new career began. During my pregnancy and early postnatal period, I became acutely aware of the changes to my body and soft tissues and the impact this was having on my function, strength, movement and pain levels. This motivated me to delve deeper where I decided to specialise in the area of Pre and Postnatal, where I obtained a Level 3 qualification with Jenny Burrell Education. I found this extremely valuable and it allowed me to expand my knowledge to a much deeper understanding of the human body, and women’s health in particular. Since then, I have widened my broader knowledge by obtaining qualifications in Medical Acupuncture and kinesiotaping.

I gained so much joy from helping clients to recover from injuries, reduce their pain levels and manage their health conditions with soft tissue therapy and corrective rehab work. As a result, in 2019 I began to delve deeper into the benefits of regular and specific movement and exercise regimes in order to overcome ongoing pain and postural issues. Then, in September 2019, I went on to study for a Level 3 Diploma in Teaching Mat Pilates with the highly acclaimed Joanne Cobbe of J Pilates Limited. At 27 weeks pregnant with our second son, I qualified and my next next chapter began!

I feel extremely passionate about what I do and am in my element when teaching, helping and providing a high-quality professional service to my clients with a variety of techniques and skillset as well as my professional, friendly approach to give them the confidence to exercise and move again without pain.
